works) under section 1221(b )(3) of the Internal Revenue
so as to claim the 15% capital gains rate.
- Advice to non-US author selling film rights to a
major US studio and rendering services outside the US in
the preparation of the screenplay.
- Advice to US singer/song-writer living in London and
Italy on tax, immigration and estate planning issues.
- On-going advice to film producer as to structuring
of business and individual films shot in UK, France,
Canada, US, and China.
- Advice to a Canadian audio engineer responsible for
engineering the performances of a renowned singer.

paintings and sculpture. For example, we recently helped
negotiate and complete the purchase of a notable
painting from a gallery in London. In this connection,
we retained artistic advisors to the purchaser.
