History

Moore & Bruce, LLP was formed in 1993 by attorneys that had practiced together in the Washington, DC office of a mid-size Manhattan law firm. There they comprised portions of the tax and international practice groups.

The founders of the Firm were joined by other attorneys, most of whom they had practiced with at one time or another in the past. Over time, other attorneys joined the Firm. One attorney, who practices US and Chinese intellectual property law, left to join the US Government. Another attorney left to join the US Internal Revenue Service and subsequently returned.

The Firm was originally located in the Army and Navy Club building on Farragut Square in Washington, DC.

In 1998, the Firm moved to the Adams-Mason House (c. 1810) in Georgetown, the historic part of Washington, DC.

The Firm opened its office in Mayfair, London, in 2003.

We also maintain representative offices in Wilmington, Delaware and Zurich.
