Bill Morris Rejoins Moore & Bruce, LLP (February 1, 2006)

The Firm is pleased to announce that Bill Morris, who was with the firm until July 2003, when he left to become Assistant Chief Congressional Liaison, Internal Revenue Service, has returned to the Firm.  Mr. Morris' practice is centered on tax and tax legislative subjects.

Brenda Viehe-Naess Joins Moore & Bruce, LLP (May 1, 2007)

Brenda Viehe-Naess has joined the firm effective May 1, 2007.  Ms Viehe-Naess is an acknowledged expert on international and insurance taxation and tax legislative and regulatory matters affecting property-casualty, life and reinsurance firms.  “We are very pleased to welcome Brenda and look forward to working closely with her,” said Jonathon Moore, Managing Partner.

We Help Return the Literary Legacy Of Chilean Poet Gabriela Mistral To Chile (May 11, 2007)

The Firm advised the Embassy of Chile and the Estate of Doris S. Dana on the bequest of Gabriela Mistral's manuscripts, letters, memorabilia and other historic items to Orden Franciscana en Chile (the Franciscan Order in Chile), Biblioteca Nacional de Chile (National Library) and Dirección de Bibliotecas, Archivos y Museos of Chile.  Gabriela Mistral was the first Latin American writer to be awarded the Nobel Prize in literature.  When her body was returned to Chile nine days after her death in 1957, the Chilean government declared three days of national mourning, and hundreds of thousands of Chileans came to Santiago to pay their respects.  "Assisting the parties was a unique pleasure," said Charles Bruce in comments following the signing ceremony.  Albacea designa a beneficiarios de Mistral_El Mercurio_12 de mayo de 2007
